Photography is often described as painting with light, but I prefer to think of it as organizing chaos. When I walk down a busy street, I am not looking for a pretty picture; I am looking for geometry.

In a world of eye-detect autofocus, slowing down seems counterintuitive. However, using the Leica rangefinder forced me to anticipate the moment rather than react to it. It changed the angular precision of my work.
